HBBW designed and fabricated this pressurized vessel to ASME Section VIII as well as to the European Pressure Equipment foreign code.

This vessel was designed for the Electron Beam sector for producing chemical and physical changes in various substances by exposure to ionizing radiation in the form of energetic electrons. This process can be used for Crosslinking, Polymer Degradation, Sterilization, Pasteurization and Vulcanization.

All the parts seen in this photo were purchased, machined, fabricated, assembled and final tested in our 100,000 SF facility. We offer a full turnkey operation from the smallest production part to the largest vessels.

Helfrich Brothers Boiler Works is pleased to announce the purchase of two new machines: a Mighty Viper VYL-20/25M CNC Lathe and a Mighty Viper Pro 3223A CNC Milling Machine.

HBBW’s new VTL can turn and machine material up to a 98.4” diameter and 59” height. The new bridge mill has an impressive machining envelope of 126” x 79” x 31.5” (x,y,z). Both machines have automatic tool changers and through tool coolant for high efficiency machining. It was a long trip to get the machines from California to Lawrence, but the added capacity and efficiencies they have already created for our customers made the trip well worth it!
