QC Document Specialist
Reports To: Director of Quality
Position Summary: The QC Document Specialist supports the Helfrich Brothers’ QC system by ensuring we are following our own rules, and this role will help improve Helfrich Brothers’ overall QC Program.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Job book creation and management
- Identify, locate and compile essential contents for our job books
- Work with manufacturing and engineering to gather completed reports for the job book
- Ensure utilization and organization of in-process job books
- Follow the record retention policy for completed job books
- Work cross-functionally to review, revise and standardize existing department-specific procedures and work instructions
- Assist with the roll out of new procedures (promoting awareness or identifying training needs, when applicable)
- Utilizing formal document control methods, manage revision control, distribution, and maintenance of Quality Management System controlled documents throughout the organization.
- Develop standardized templates for newly created procedures and work instructions
- Work cross functionally with all pertinent departments to collect information such as metrics and other data for reporting purposes
- Issue and reconcile customer and supplier surveys or questionnaires to assist in supplier monitoring and internal performance tracking
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Information management) required.
- Experience in document control or records management preferred

Traveling Safety Specialist

Job Description
Helfrich Brothers is seeking a well-rounded individual to join our team. Our ideal candidate will possess the skills and knowledge to lead up our safety management in our Field Services and Construction groups. This role includes travel around the US, primarily in the New England and Mid Atlantic region. This position will have 70% or more travel. This position could also be required to work on weekends as necessary.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Safety Manager will have a varying range of responsibilities, number of employees and projects assigned. The Safety Manager role will span strategic, tactical, and transactional safety and health management activities. As the Safety Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance, training and implementation of safety policies, accident investigation and documentation, OSHA VPP efforts, and management of the other safety program initiatives. In addition to managing the Safety Program, the Safety Manager will oversee the employee training program, and assist with the daily execution of the field safety and health activities.The Safety Manager will also be called upon to contribute to the broader field management team and provide leadership to process improvement and best practice deployment, demonstrating the right values and behaviors with high emotional intelligence in working with disbursed stakeholder base, often on critical schedule projects.
Role Responsibilities
- Responsibilities may include but are not limited to
- Partake in an active leadership role for the management of the field Safety Programs, Processes and Policies,
- Implement, motivate, educate and enforce safety & health policies,
- Manage all aspects of our safety reporting and maintain the Field Service and Construction Safety records,
- Continually monitor the performance and effectiveness of the field safety program and implement adjustments and improvement as needed,

Field Services – Travel Coordinator

Job Description
The company is growing strong, and our Field Services division is looking for a Travel Coordinator. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated and resourceful, with the ambition to complete the job successfully. This position will report directly to the Equipment and Logistics Manager. The Travel Coordinator would work remotely but maintain on-call availability for necessary emergency calls outside of traditional business hours. This is a great opportunity for the right person!
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
We often service forced/emergency outages, which are time sensitive and critical to our business. In the event of a forced/emergency outage, this individual would be responsible for immediately coordinating with the Project Managers and Workforce Planning Manager to confirm the project’s schedule and manpower, then promptly arranging, communicating and documenting all travel/lodging accommodations for employees scheduled to work the emergency outage.
The Field Services Travel Coordinator is also responsible for the following day-to-day aspects:
- Review outage schedule weekly and arrange hotel accommodations as necessary,
- Confirm with hotels and communicate number of rooms in addition to all other travel details,
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager, Project Managers and Workforce Planning Manager to ensure successful operations,
- Update project email with hotel confirmations and Tally Sheet within SharePoint,
- Organize travel sheet in the proper folder within SharePoint,
- Consistently monitor schedules for changes to ensure required coverage,
- Communicate effectively with hotels and other necessary vendors, informing them or changes/checkouts and other necessary vendors.
Education/Skills/Experience:
- 2+ years’ experience as a Travel Coordinator, or in a corporate travel agent role,
- Excellent organizational and time management skills,
- Strong computer skills, versed in Microsoft Office and SharePoint,
- Customer service oriented with a background in operations and logistics,
- Ability to negotiate effectively with external vendors to maintain budget alignment,
- Comfortability completing clerical work in a timely, efficient manner,
- Process driven with evolved critical thinking skills.

- All bookings, confirmations, documentation and email correspondence must be clearly labeled & organized by job number and sent to all relevant parties in accordance with Field Service SOPs.

Tooling Specialist

This individual will help to ensure that all trailers are stocked with proper equipment, material, and inventory to perform a safe work atmosphere during project work and outages.
**80-85% domestic travel is required** We do a majority of work on the East Coast and are looking for someone central to that region.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
The Tooling Specialist will report to the Equipment & Logistics Manager and is responsible for assisting in aspects of:
- Maintaining & servicing power tools and other small tooling,
- Tooling inventory throughout our fleet of trailers, Sea-Conex’s, facility job boxes, & mobile toolboxes that are located throughout the United States
Include the following, as well as others that may be assigned:
- Ensure that all aspects of the work scope are being performed in a safe manner
- Perform regular inspections and repairs on company equipment when necessary and practical
- Responsible for Field Service trailers and their contents including getting them stocked and equipped for project work and outages
- Responsible for Sea-Conex’s, rigging gear, and specialty equipment used on project work, and outages
- Communicate and work closely with all divisions of the company including purchasing, rentals, as well as shipping and receiving needs
- Works with the Project Managers to improve the overall operation of the company while reducing costs and increasing profits
- Plan and work independently or within a group
- Promote a positive image for the company and provides best company reputation
- Responsible for picking up or scheduling shipment of parts and material for projects

The ideal candidate will possess their code qualification and have experience working inside an industrial boiler and performing quality welds while adhering to industry codes & standards. This role is a member of the HBBW Field Service division, meaning that this is a travel based position, servicing emergency outages and scheduled shutdowns.
Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Working during forced outages/emergencies (day or night shift)
- Knowledge and capability of using grinders as well as end prep tools to perform the proper procedures for tube reinstallation,
- Familiar with a range of filler metals and welding processes to perform welds on boiler tubes and components,
- Making, installing, and repairing boilers,
- Welding and bolting pieces together,
- Testing boilers & performing routine maintenance,
- Fabricating and assembling metal structures,
- Reading and interpreting diagrams, sketches, blueprints,
- Performing jobs safely while adhering to all safety guidelines,
- Responsibility for quality and safety while in the workplace.
